Hunter – The Answer To Above-Ground Rainwater Drainage
When it comes to guttering and other elements of above-ground rainwater drainage, the UK has trusted Hunter since the 1960s. Easy to install, durable, and low-maintenance, the brand’s uPVC products are perfect for residential applications whether you need brackets or degree branches for your house or gutters for your shed.
Although Hunter Plastics Limited went dormant after selling its trade to DHM a few years ago, Aliaxis has kept the brand name alive. The brand grew out of the innovative work of Ronald ‘Eddy’ Edmondson, who served in the Royal Artillery in World War II, after qualifying as an architect and surveyor. His interest in plastics and plastic injection moulding began when he was stationed near an Italian factory at which the Germans were experimenting with the technique. Edmondson returned to England and set up a plastic moulding company in Lewisham in 1946.
Edmondson moved the business to Belvedere in 1962, which is when his company started producing gutters and pipes. He created the Hunter Group in 1965 and saw Hunter Plastics Limited incorporated in 1967. The Hunter range of PVC rainwater and other products was launched the following year. The sale of Hunter Plastics to Etex in 1991 enabled the brand to expand its product portfolio with the launch of the Surefit and Plumber’s Bits ranges. A 2003 reorganisation of Etex saw the brand become part of the Aliaxis Group.
Top-Quality Rainwater Guttering
The Hunter range includes just about everything you need to ensure efficient and reliable drainage of rainwater from your home and outbuildings. The products are available in various colours, with the most popular being black and white.
Support brackets are essential for keeping gutters in place, and for ensuring they do not collapse under the weight of rainwater and debris such as leaves. We stock round and square support and fixing brackets, as well as round joint brackets, and we have the brand’s 114mm square 112mm round gutters, as well as round and square degree branches, round and square stop end outlets, and 135-degree angle rounds. You also can find 92.5-degree angle bends, drain leaf guards, 110mm soil pipes, and other products.
