Hammerite Radiator Enamel Aerosol will help put the finishing touches on your beautiful radiators. This handsome stain leaves behind a gloss coating while also protecting from wear and tear. It is tough, durable and resists yellowing. It provides a heat resistant, brilliant white, high gloss finish on domestic radiators. It can also be used on hot water pipes and is resistant to yellowing when subjected to heat. The Liquid must be protected from sunlight.

- Usage Guide :
- If the radiator has recently been in use, ensure it has cooled entirely before beginning.
- To get the best finish, rub down the radiator with sandpaper and remove all dust and debris afterwards.
- If you are painting a bare radiator, use Anti-Rust Primer on the bare metal.
- Depending on your preference, the radiator can be painted whilst on or off the wall. If it is being painted whilst on the wall, ensure that the wall behind and floor underneath are fully covered.
- Take care not to paint over any valves or knobs in case you accidentally seal them with the paint.
- Once you have applied the paint with a good quality brush, leave it to dry thoroughly for a few days before turning the radiator on to harden the surface.
- Application Description
- Store aerosol at room temperature for 2 hours prior to use.
- Shake can vigorously, in a vertical motion, until the agitator ball is heard and then for a further 3 minutes.
- Apply light even coats, from a distance of approximately 15cm (6"), and keep the aerosol moving.
- Do not concentrate spray on one spot.
- When touch dry (15 minutes) apply a further 2-3 coats, allowing 30 minutes between coats.
- Do not overspray as sagging may occur if excessive paint is applied.
- Between coats invert can and spray for 2 seconds to avoid blockages.
- Preparing the Surfaces :
- All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from rust, flaking paint, dirt, dust and grease.
- Rub down all painted surfaces with abrasive paper.
- Radiators must be turned off and only painted when cold. Mask off the surrounding area to protect from overspray
