Regardless of what materials you need to prime for your projects, the Bostik Cempolay Universal Primer Blue is there for you. This solvent-free, water-based, acrylic product is a bonding and priming agent that is best used before you apply any levelling compound to ensure that it levels out as smoothly as possible. When the primer is applied without dilution on non-porous surfaces, it can act as a bonding agent that can be used on ceramic tile, power-floated concrete, rigid metal, quarry tile, asphalt, terrazzo and surface membranes. When it is diluted, the primer can be applied to porous surfaces.

- Suitable for use prior to the application of any Bostik levelling compound.
- When applied undiluted, it acts as a bonding agent on non-porous surfaces such as power floated concrete, ceramic tiles, quarry tiles, rigid metal, terrazzo, asphalt and surface membranes.
- In diluted form, Cempolay Universal Primer can be used as a primer on porous surfaces and will dry within one hour depending on the conditions.

- PREPARATION :
- Ensure the subfloor is clean, sound, dry and free from contaminants that may hinder adhesion.
- Can be used over traces of old adhesive residues providing that they are well bonded and non-moisture soluble. However, it is not suitable for use over tackifier, bituminous or watersoluble adhesives which should be completely removed.
- The subfloor should be tested in accordance with British Standards, using a properly calibrated and insulated hygrometer.
- A reading of 75% RH or less confirms that the subfloor is satisfactorily dry. Where this has not been attained, it is necessary to apply a Cempolay surface membrane to suppress residual moisture. For further information contact Flooring Technical Services.
- APPLICATION :
- Smooth Dense Surfaces:
- Apply using a brush or roller, ensuring that a thin even coat is obtained.
- Porous Surfaces:
- Apply the diluted Universal Primer by brush or roller, ensuring that it is well worked into the surface.
- On porous surfaces or any surfaces likely to produce air holes in a smoothing compound, a second application will be required.
- CLEANING :
- Clean tools and equipment immediately after use with water or white spirit if the material has dried.
- Storage/Shelf Life :
- Store for up to 12 months from date of manufacture when stored in original
- Unopened packaging under cool, dry conditions within the temperature range of 5 degree C to 40 degree C and out of direct sunlight.
