Prepare and protect your exterior surfaces with Sandtex Trade Solvent
Stabilising Solution. It is made to stabilise chalking and weathered
decorative finishes while effectively controlling suction on undecorated
masonry surfaces and exterior-grade building boards. This solution is
colourless and preserves the natural or intended appearance of your
exterior surfaces. Awarded a British Board of Agrement Certificate, this
product works seamlessly with other certificated Sandtex Trade
protective and decorative finishes, ensuring a comprehensive protection
system that enhances longevity and appearance.
- A solvent-borne solution to stabilise chalking decorative finishes and to control suction on undecorated surfaces.
- For use on most exterior masonry surfaces and exterior grade building boards. Awarded a British Board of Agrement Certificate when used in conjunction with other certificated Sandtex Trade protective and decorative finishes.

- Drying time - Under normal drying conditions recoatable after 16 hours
- Spreading rate - 6m2 per litre. On textured and surfaces with suction the spreading rate will vary down to approx. 3m2 per litre.
- Wet film thickness - 167 micrometres at 6m2 per litre.
- Dry film thickness - 41 micrometres at 6m2 per litre.
- Volume solids - 25%.
- Flash point - 40 degree C (closed cup)

- Limitations :
- Do not apply when there is a risk of rain, air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8 degree C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.
- Do not apply to bitumen coatings.
- The decoration of Fletton brickwork either facings or commons is not recommended.
- COATING SYSTEM :
- Apply in one liberal coat until suction, porous, friable or chalking surfaces are stabilised.
- Do not over stabilise.
- APPLICATION :
- Apply by brush.
- CLEANING :
- Return surplus material to container.
- Clean with a proprietary cleaner immediately after use.
