Product Description

Dulux Trade Wood Primer White - Various Litres Available.

  • General purpose solvent-based primer
  • Suitable for use on all types of soft and hard woods, inside and outside
  • For interior and exterior use
  • For softwoods and hardwoods
  • Helps provide excellent adhesion
  • Solvent based
  • Coverage : Up to 15m² per litre on most surfaces
  • Touch dry : 4-6 hours dependent upon temperature / humidity
  • Thinning not usually necessary for normal use. However, for hardwoods add up to 1 part of white spirit to 10 parts paint.
  • Application Method : Brush only. For Health Safety reasons relating to
  • all solvent-based paints, spray application is not recommended.
  • Spray Recommendations : This product should not be sprayed
  • Drying Times : Single coat at standard thickness: (Touch Dry: 4-6 hours), (Recoat: 16-24 hours)
  • Cleaning Up : After use, remove as much product as possible from brushes before cleaning with brush cleaner.

  • SYSTEMS INFORMATION :
  • STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE.
  • After suitable surface preparation, apply 1 coat to all bare wood and allow to dry.
  • Finish with an appropriate Dulux Trade paint system.
  • SURFACE PREPARATION :
  • To get the best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry (new surfaces particularly must be fully dry) and free from all defective or poorly adhering material such as dirt, grease and wax.
  • Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces, using ‘wet flatting’ methods where possible, then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth.
  • Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
  • Treat any knots in wood with an appropriate knotting solution.
  • Any surface defects should be filled with an appropriate Polycell Trade Polyfilla.
  • Transportation Storage :
  • Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost.
  • To prevent spillage, please store and transport upright.
